“Science and Technology Cooperation between Germany and Japan“

Date2024.1.16 17:30~19:00
Event Summary

Developed economies like Germany and Japan need research and development for further economic development and keeping up a good lifestyle. Today we also see increasing problems with global warming and environmental problems, for which we have to apply new technological solutions. This means we have to bring science and technology into applications.
Japan and Germany are the 3rd and 4th biggest economies, are in similar business areas and technologically and scientifically on the highest level. Also, they are likeminded countries and ideal partners for a collaboration. Despite Japan`s big industrial groups (Keiretsu), that do a lot of R&D by themselves, and Germany’s strong SME (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) sector, many opportunities exist. The presentation gives examples from the professional life of Dr. Lorenz Granrath.
