Arab Women Entrepreneurs: Challenges and Development

The Institute of Islamic Area Studies will hold a guest lecture of Marianne Aringberg LAANATZA (Executive advisor at the think tank MENA.SE).

Marianne Laanatza is an area specialist in history, politics, and economy on the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Turkey. In the lecture, she will focus on women entrepreneurs in the Arab world, highlighting their history of conducting business transactions around women's networks and the barriers they have faced because they are women. Based on her extensive experience in the Arab world, this lecture will shed light on the challenges and prospects of women entrepreneurs in the Arab world.
