On December 13th, 2022 four members of the Department of English Studies at Sophia won Best Practice Awards highlighting their excellence in teaching! Dr. Lisa Fairbrother (our current department chair), Dr. Shinichi Izumi (not pictured below, Dr. Izumi was unavailable on the awards day), Marc Kaufman, and Audrey Morrell along with 11 other instructors all received the award which was determined by exceptionally high scores on a survey from their students.
