How did TV News Report the Speech of Hugo Chávez? -Translation Issues in Japanese TV News
The purpose of this paper is analysing the relationship between Broadcasting and Translation, showing an example, how the famous speech of Venezuela’s ex-President Hugo Chávez at UN in 2006 were translated for the TV news on NHK. In order to analyze from various point of views, it will be focused on the theories of Translation studies which bring us to understand better the relationship between Broadcasting and Translation. Through the analysis, we will know the role of translation within Information medium, and we will realize that further investigation is required.
