Human Security and Peace-Building
This project consists of an ongoing seminar series on the subject of “Human Security and Peace-Building” that is co-hosted by SIIR. Key practitioners and policy makers from various fields (political leaders, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, NGO’s, etc.) are invited as speakers. Through discussion involving the speakers, the project leader, and the audience, the project seeks to deepen our understanding of the historical evolution and latest developments on human security and peace-building, and on what role Japan can play in this field.
The series of the seminar is coordinated by Dr, Daisaku Higashi at SIIR, and assisted by many SIIR members as commentators.
The results of this project will be published in the form of books, articles, and working papers.
