セミナー「ビルマ式社会主義(1962-88)再考―26年間にわたる『実験』とその政治的・文化的意味を振り返る―」を2024年9月21日（土）開催します。

上智大学アジア文化研究所では、Dr.Michal Lubina（ポーランド・ヤギェウォ大学准教授／上智大学アジア文化研究所客員所員）の日本滞在を機会に、セミナー「ビルマ式社会主義（1962-88）再考―26年間にわたる『実験』とその政治的・文化的意味を振り返る―」を、9月21日（土）に対面・オンライン併用で開催します。

Reconsidering Burmese Way to Socialism（1962-88): Re-analyzing the political and cultural meaning of the 26 year ’experiment’

Where is Myanmar heading for? Regarding the nation-state building in Myanmar (Burma), this seminar will focus on the period of Burmese Way to Socialism, when the state philosophy was re-examined and the ’Burmese Way’ socialist state was built. What was the political and cultural context of this period in Burma’s modern and contemporary history? How was Burmese people’s desire for liberation from colonialism developed in this thought? What will emerge from the comparison with Poland in Eastern Europe? We would like to examine from various perspectives at this seminar.
