上智大学では、海外の約400校と交換留学協定及び学術交流協定とグローバルネットワークを活用し、海外で活躍する研究者をメンターとして、個別相談はもとより、授業、講演、交流会等を通じてアドバイスや学術指導を行う「グローバル・メンター制度」を実施しています。
　同志社大学が代表機関となり、上智大学が共同実施機関として取り組んだ『（令和3年度採択）文部科学省 科学技術人材育成費補助事業「ダイバーシティ研究環境実現イニシアティブ（調査分析）」』の活動成果の一環として、「グローバル・メンター制度」をさらに発展させ、本学で将来リーダーシップを担っていくことが期待される方向けの制度を立ち上げました。
　第一弾として、ポルトガル・カトリック大学のIsabel Capeloa Gil学長から、本学で将来リーダーシップを担っていくことが期待される教職員（特に女性研究者）向けのアドバイス動画を作成しましたのでご案内いたします。

　Sophia University has the “Global Mentoring Program”, which provides advice and academic guidance not only through individual consultations but also through classes, lectures, and exchange events, by utilizing its global network of bilateral student exchange agreements and academic exchange agreements with approximately 400 overseas universities.
　As part of the results of the “Diversity Research Environment Initiative (Survey and Analysis),” a project funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (adopted in FY2021), in which Doshisha University served as the representative university and Sophia University as a joint implementing university, the “Global Mentoring Program” has been further developed to provide mentors for researchers in leadership positions within Sophia’s network.
　As a first step, we have received advice from Dr. Isabel Capeloa Gil, President of the Catholic University of Portugal, for faculty members (especially female researchers) who are expected to take on leadership roles in the future at Sophia.
