Dr. Mebarek Djaafri is currently a professor at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Adrar University in Algeria. His primary research areas include the socio-economic history and traditional culture of Tuwat region, Algeria, the history of Islamic reform movements in the Sub-Saharan region, and the philological study of Arabic manuscripts. His major publications?include the following works: Cultural Relations between Tuat and Western Sudan during the 12th Century AH (Algiers, Dar al-Sabeel Publishing and Distribution, 2009) Bibliography of the Library of the Zawiyat Sidi al-Bakri Hajj Mohammed bin Salem in Timmi (Algiers, Dar al-Kitab al-Arabi, 2019) al-Azawad during the AH13th/AD19th Century: A historical, social and economic study (Algiers, Dar al-Kitab al-Arabi, 2021) | | Languages | The lecture will be delivered in Arabic, and a Japanese translation of the text will be distributed to the participants.
