https://www.sophia.ac.jp/eng/info/access/map/map_yotsuya.html#yotsuya_direction | title | The First Account of the Hajj in Malay, End of 15th Century | profile of the lecturer | Dr. Henri Chambert-Loir is an expert on Malay literature, and is presently staying in Tokyo as Visiting Professor at the Institute of Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa (ILCAA) of Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Dr. Chambert-Loir obtained his Ph.D in Indonesian Studies from Sorbonne University in Paris in 1973, and served as Research Fellow at Ecole Francaise d Extreme-Orient (EFEO) from 1971 to 2013. During this period, he served as EFEO representative in Indonesia for 20 years. He has written extensively on Malay literature, history, and culture, and is presently conducting research on Malay historical texts in poetic form. His publications include the followings:
