Robert Farrell, Thomas Kinaga, Hiroshi Miyamura, Paul Oda, Jim Kawaminami, Jun Fukushima, Mitsuo Usui, Paul Sagawa, Robert Hayamizu, Tsuye Nozawa

Summary

Two months after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law Executive Order 9066, which enabled the U.S. government to imprison 110,000 Japanese Americans in concentration camps. The nine-member Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians (CWRIC) was established by Congress in 1980 to review the facts and circumstances surrounding Executive Order 9066 and its impact on the Japanese American community and to recommend appropriate remedies. In 1981 Los Angeles, CA, was the site of one of the historic CWRIC hearings. Hear and see the dramatic testimony. Testifiers on Tape#4: Mary Kurihara, Tom Watanabe, Henry Sakai, Joe Yamamoto, Dillon Myer, L.A. City Councilman Robert Farrell, Thomas Kinaga, Hiroshi Miyamura, Paul Oda, Jim Kawaminami, Jun Fukushima, Mitsuo Usui, Paul Sagawa, Robert Hayamizu, Tsuye Nozawa.
