| 報告 | ロドリゲス先生は、現在Pacific Historical Review(PHR)の編集委員をなさっており、今回の講演では、アメリカの人文系（特に歴史系）ジャーナル全般の投稿から出版にいたる過程について詳細に話してくださいました。内容としては以下の通りです。 投稿された論文は、3名の査読者（投稿者の氏名は伝えない）が読み、コメントをするため、投稿から出版まで最低でも1年かかります。書き直しのうえ再提出が大部分であり、書き直しの作業は出版のレベルに達するまで何回でも続くので、投稿から2－3年後に出版ということはよくあることです。 また、最近では、外国語で出版された論文集をPHRの特集号として企画することもあり、現在はメキシコで行われたシンポジウムの論文集（スペイン語で出版）を、PHRの特集号として企画しているそうです。 今回は本大学院生も加わり、活発な質疑応答が行われました。「どんなに有名な教授でも投稿時点での論文は出版レベルであることはほとんどない」というロドリゲス先生の発言で、参加者の皆さんも勇気づけられました。（文責：飯島真里子） |
