An international seminar entitled "Public space, public sphere, and publicness in the Middle East" will be organized with the following program, under the auspices of SIAS (Center for Islamic Studies at Sophia University) in Tokyo and the CEDEJ (Centre d’études et de documentation économiques, juridiques et sociales) a french research center (CNRS-MEAE) in Cairo, with the support of the JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) in Egypt.
