Subject AIn order to understand a culture (either ours or others´) we have to acknowledge that we have been unconsciously absorbing multiple ideas, which make us see things in a certain way. We are not objective, neither with the others nor with ourselves. Our mind is full of false ideas and stereotypes. Explain how the images circulating in films, books, newspapers, school-books TV, etc., affect our perception of reality and induce us to see ourselves and the others, in a distorted way. Search for information about this topic and link it to your study area.
Subject BThe use of 'Hate Speech' (that is, offensive expressions used for the purpose of expelling members of a specified race, religion or group) has become a serious problem, both in Japan and others nations of the world. Choosing an example related to this issue within a country or region wherein you have an academic interest, please discuss the matter concretely, looking into their historical, economic, and social or political backgrounds.
