- 同大学は、1531 年にカール 5 世によって設立された公立大学である。約 8 万人の学生が在籍しており、スペインで 4 番目の規模を持つ総合大学である。 スペイン南部グラナダに所在しているが、対岸のモロッコ北部 の Melilla と Ceuta という都市がスペイン領であるため、そこにもキャンパスが所在している。グラナダは全体が学園都市で、キャンパスが点在しており、人口の約4分の1がグラナダ大学の学生である。留学生には、学生のサポーターと教員のメンターが必ず 1 名ずつつけられており、宿舎手配や生活支援等は学生サポーターが、履修登録やアカデミックな指導は教員のメンターが行ってい る。
