MONUMENTA NIPPONICA MONOGRAPHS
The first editor of Monumenta Nipponica, Johannes Kraus, began the Monumenta Nipponica Monographs series shortly after the foundation of the journal. Between 1940 and the 1980s, close to sixty monographs were published. The demands of bringing out the journal led to the reluctant termination of this program in 1986.
Many of the monographs are out of print, but a number are still in stock and available for purchase. A complete list of monographs in the series (and other books available through MN) is available here. For purchasing information, click here. Some titles that are out of print are now available as e-books through Sophia University’s Institutional Repository (Sophia-R) on the Sophia University website.
