Japan Society of Social Science on Latin America (JSLA) and the Iberoamerican Institute at Sophia University will host a special online event, Latin American Thoughts on Development: in Search of a New Paradigm Shift, organized as a Special Plenary Session of JSLA 58th Annual Congress. It is our honor to welcome Dr. Alicia Bárcena, the Executive Secretary of ECLAC, United Nations, as a keynote speaker.
ECLAC issues policy recommendations on the sustainable development of the region Latin America and the Caribbean based on its multi-disciplinary analysis and unique school of thought. These valuable suggestions have constantly inspired specialists worldwide and have caused positive changes in many countries, including Japan.
We will discuss how to tackle today’s global crisis, based upon the presentation by Dr. Bárcena. We look forward to your participation in this exceptional event.
