1997 completed the University of Tokyo Doctoral Program in School of Legal and Political Studies Graduate School for Law and Politics;
after working as Professor at Tokyo Gakugei University, Chuo University Faculty of Law Departmen of Political Science, assumed current position in April 2014.

- Message to Students
It was a long time ago, when I was about to graduate, but I still vividly remember how I regretted that I should have “studied harder” when I had “so much time to study”. I don’t want any of you to have such feeling. University is a place to study. Four years may seem like a long time, but it flies by. Don’t say “matches my height” or “moderately my limits” and give up, but stretch yourself as far as you can and have big dreams and goals. We are looking for students who will not give up on their dreams and will spare no effort. I will be in charge of courses such as Peace Studies and Global Governance, and I plan to actively hold seminar camps where we will visit actual sites in Japan and abroad, not just within the university. I look forward to seeing you under the cherry blossoms.
