Dr. Mitoji Nishimoto, the author of this book, is often called the ‘Father of Educational Broadcasting in Japan’. He was first associated with radio broadcasting in 1925 when he gave radio lectures on education. Based on this experience plus his knowledge of the pioneering efforts of England and America, he organized the first school broadcasting in Japan in 1933 at the Osaka Regional Broadcasting Station….

Dr. Nishimoto has written many books and an almost unlimited number of articles in the fields of broadcasting and education. This book is a summary of his life’s work as well as an exposition of his theories and visions of educational broadcasting.
