MN 80:1 (2025) pp. 103–106
Gaudenz Domenig is best known as a scholar of Indonesian and Japanese vernacular architecture, approached from the perspective of spatial anthropology. In this volume, he brings his architect’s eye to the study of Japanese myths, presented in such sources as Kojiki, Nihon shoki, and the fudoki, demonstrating that an approach that pays due attention to questions of space and territory can open up new perspectives on key aspects of these myths.
