BA and MA from Trinity College, Cambridge, in Modern Languages (French and German) PGCE from the Department of Education, Cambridge University

専門分野　Academic interests

As well as teaching at Sophia University, John Williams is a writer, director and producer of Japanese films. He has won several awards for his films at international film festivals and has also worked as a consultant for METI, helping Japanese producers to develop international co-productions. He also works as a translator, translating subtitles and scripts for Japanese films into English.

担当科目 Courses provided at Department of English Studies

John Williams teaches classes in Film Production, European Cinema, Creativity and Translation. In his Seminar course students make graduation films.
