For this time away from classes, here are are some links to useful English education resources.

Websites:

These are news websites designed for people studying English. There are a variety of levels and exercises to choose from and we recommend them if you are planning on studying abroad. You should try to get used to the pronunciation of different English speakers and news sites are one way of doing this.

Reading:

This is a list that was made recently called 100 Great American Reads. They are not just American novels and there are a variety of different genres, but all of them come recommended.

This was a list that was made in 2019 by The Guardian newspaper in the UK. There are a variety of different movies in the list from all over the world, not all of them in English, but culture is not only made by English-speaking people!

Video Resources:

Ted Ed has a great series of more than 40 videos related to the topic of language. The content is varied and includes lessons on Literature, Rhetoric, Science, etc. It’s first a helpful learning tool, but also a way to practice your listening and comprehension skills.
