The guest speaker Dr.Tharaphi Than will talk about the historical background of the recent amendment of 1949 Prostitution Suppression Act of Burma/Myanmar. She analyzes Myanmar terms for prostitutes and examines how prostitution was portrayed and debated by the media and general public between 1942 and 2015.
