This program documents the efforts of a group of young adults to find their roots. It follows them through a program that uses the national archives, census and immigration records to relate the story of Chinese immigration to the U.S. The group members learn how to research their own family roots and then embark on the trip to China to visit their ancestral villages. Along the way, they come to understand and appreciate their parents and grandparents and what they went through to become Americans.
