    Hello Everyone! The start of the semester is fast approaching, and the faculty is looking forward to welcoming you into our online classes very soon. We know it has been difficult for everyone without a traditional Orientation Camp, so we thought we would host Zoom sessions for our 1st-year students. This way, you can meet some of the faculty for your compulsory courses and get information about classes before the start of the semester.   • プレイスメントテストとクラス分けについて

    プレイスメントテストとクラス分けについて 英語学科新入生の皆さん、学科から皆さんにプレイスメントテストとクラス分けに関する重要なお知らせです。 本来、入学式の翌日に行なわれる予定だった英語プレイスメントテストを英語学科の新入生も受験して、そのリスニング試験の点数を基に必修クラスのクラス分けを行なうことになっていました。しかし、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大に伴い、様々な日程や事情が変わる中で、感染拡大防止の観点からプレイスメントテストは外部のオンライン試験を利用して行なうことになりました。実施内容の詳細については、近日中に皆さんに大学から直接メールで連絡が発信されることになっていますので、そちらをお待ち下さい。 オンラインでプレイスメントテストを受験するためにはパソコンとインターネット環境が必要です。様々な事情により４月中に、パソコンおよびインターネット環境を用意出来ない学生は、必ず、早めに英語学科広報担当教員の東郷までメールでご連絡下さい。アドレスは　email hidden; JavaScript is required　です。 英語学科では、このオンライン試験の中のリスニング試験の点数を基に必修クラスのクラス分けを行ないます。既に公式サイトでご説明した通り、必修クラスは A から Hまでの８クラスありますが、実際のクラス分けは、A/B、C/D、E/F/G/H の3つのレベルに分けます。従って、AとBは同じレベル、CとDは同じレベル、EとFとGとHは同じレベルです。 この必修クラスは2年間変更しません。また、これはあくまでも教育的観点からリスニング力だけを基準にして行なうもので、総合的な英語力によるクラス分けではなく、ましてや総合的な学力によるクラス分けではなく、更に言えばそれぞれの学生の総合的な優秀さを基準にしたクラス分けでは決してないので、ご注意下さい。 この件に関して、或いはその他の件についても、何か不明な点や不安な点がありましたら、上記、東郷までメールでお問い合わせ下さい。 引き続きどうかよろしくお願いいたします。 2020年4月16日(木) 英語学科長　石井紀子（いしい　のりこ）<続きを読む>
